FACTS® Training Features Aircrew Combative Training
Monday, April 22, 2002

FACTS Training announces new and expanded emergency procedures training programs to include training specific to Homeland Defense and personal security aboard aircraft.

Incorporating close quarters combat and security training geared to today's aviation security challenges, FACTS Training International has announced its expanded 2002 training schedule for professional corporate flight crews and executive frequent flyers.

The new, one-day Aircrew Combative Training (ACT) program was developed in response to the aviation industry's demands for a simple system to overcome, subdue, and neutralize threats against the crew, both inflight and on the ground. The ACT system is easy to learn, simple to execute, easily retained and proven effective in close quarters confrontations.

Considered the world's largest emergency procedures training company for corporate and charter aviation, FACTS utilizes full-size, full-motion, mobile, cockpit and cabin simulators for corporate aircraft and executive helicopters. The FACTS simulators provide a "real" aircraft environment to practice lifesaving, survival and security skills. FACTS has brought close quarters combative skills together with the FAA required emergency procedures training in the FACTS simulators.

Doug Mykol, President of FACTS Training says, "Our mission is to provide the corporate and charter aviation industry with the knowledge, practical skills, self-confidence, and the emergency equipment to save lives in almost any emergency situation. This year's curriculum is the most relevant to the contemporary environment we have offered."

Further information and details can be accessed on the FACTS Training website: www.factstraining.com, or by calling 360.754.9805.

About FACTS Training:

Established in 1981, FACTS is recognized worldwide as corporate aviation's emergency training of choice. FACTS pioneered a systematic, human factors approach to cabin safety training and was the first to use full-size corporate cockpit and cabin simulators, emphasizing "team training" to include pilots, flight engineers, and flight attendants. Currently, FACTS conducts over 120 scheduled training programs per year in fifteen cities across North America, and custom on-site training programs around the world.
